Federalism only solution to ethnic problem, Ranil tells JHU

Yes, he is very clear. But when CBK proposed a Federal system sometimes back,UNP rejected it wholesale and now what is he talking?

He wants autonomy given to North or LTTE?

This where it differes from CBK`s proposal.Ranil has signed a secret document with LTTE that N & E will be given to LTTE in a platter.

This cannot be accepted as N & E consist of many ethnic groups.Being isolated like now if LTTE is killing all oponents in Tamil community, what will be the fate of moderate Tamils,Muslims and Sinhalese if LTTE becomes the legal rulers???

Another Sinhalese elderly man in N has been gunned down by the LTTE BUTCHERS!

In 1836, there was no east only the Vanni. East was part of Kandian Kingdom. British created the new distirct system for their advantage in order to devide the loyalty to Kandian kingdom.

With this devolution, they are creating another Israel.

UNP did not reject Federalism. What UNP rejected was the constinutional reform package put forward by CBK. Inside this package CBK nicely hid the clauses which would enable her to be in power indefinitely.

The interesting this about the package was, the abolition of the Executive presidency but that wount come to effect till the second term of CBK ended.

`Secret` agreements - if there are `SECRET` how do people on this forum know about them??? :) :) This form is full of james bonds who have access to all sorts of seret information which backs up their political stand. Funny indeed.

Ranil`s pact was secret before the last general elections. But now it is public as he is openly supporting LTTE to win the elections by hook or crook! Thats it!

These are not James Bond creations but truths!

Ranil would win, but later people may be talking about voting irregularities and fraud as those happened in Norwegian elections.

Ranil is bold enough to put his stand honestly. This was his stand before and now. He has not changed it.

On the other hand Mahinda, who is preaching to meet Pirapaharan had every opportunity to do so while he was the Prime Minister. But sadly he never uttered the word `Peace` before he was elected as the Presidential candidate. I certainly can`t understand Mahinda`s political agenda for the country. I think he will publish an `ahindas` manifesto with the help of JVP and the kinds.

Anyway, it is the Sri Lankan voter who will decide the next President. Let them decide who will have the courage to take the country into the next stage.

    Dear James Bond:

`These are not James Bond creations but truths!`

    truths accoding to whom???? :)

CBK exchanged 44 letters with Praba in 1994/95. This is also a fact. Has anyone seen the contents of those letters??? NO.

Mahinda was a senior minister in the CBK government for 11 years now. Did he ONCE bring up the issue???? NO!!!

The JVP backed CBK topple a democratically elected government which had the majority in parliament. Did the JVP once ask CBK as to what the contents of these letters were???? NO!!!

But they HOOTED all over the country against Ranils so called sell out. Who is fooling who??? :)

If you get eelam you would have done that, when Elephantpass is captured. Praba knows he running behind mirage. He is supicious about himself.

But he has to carry on what he started. It is do or die.

Why did you mention that Ranil WILL win? is it an authentic statement?

  • 1 Sep 2005 22:35:28 GMT

I do not say that he will win. it is up in the air.
