In the first half of February, Sri Lanka welcomed 159,339 tourists, according to the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA). The data indicates that 26,096 visitors came from India, making up 16.0% of the total. Additionally, 17,807 travelers arrived from the United Kingdom, 12,607 from Russia, 12,309 from Germany, and 11,560 from China during this month. In February 2025, Sri Lanka saw a total of 240,217 tourists. The latest figures for February 2026 show an increase, with 436,666 tourists visiting the country. This year, 78,157 visitors are from India, followed by 47,347 from the UK and 39,741 from Russia, as noted by the SLTDA.
