Kristalina Georgieva, the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), has just arrived in Sri Lanka on February 16, 2026. She will stay in the country until February 18, 2026, as stated by a senior official from the IMF. During her time in Sri Lanka, she plans to meet with government leaders and important stakeholders. She will also see the effects of Cyclone Ditwah up close and talk about how the IMF can help with recovery efforts and support a stronger future for all people in Sri Lanka.
