Many cricket fans from around the world arrived in Sri Lanka on 15 private jets to watch the India-Pakistan T20 World Cup match that took place in Colombo on February 15, 2026. The jets started coming in on February 14, from various countries, including India and Pakistan. Among the notable passengers were Pakistan's Sports Minister, other officials, and Jay Shah, the Chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC), along with some wealthy businesspeople. According to an Ada Derana reporter, these guests left the island on the same planes they arrived on.
