President Anura Kumara Dissanayake will visit Nuwara Eliya today, November 11, to launch the Central Province phase of the “A Nation United” national campaign. According to the President’s Media Division, he will participate in several activities during his time in Nuwara Eliya. The “A Nation United” campaign was started to combat the serious problem of illegal drugs in Sri Lanka. This issue is a significant concern for the communities in the up-country area. The aim of the program is to protect these communities from drug-related threats through a thorough awareness effort that includes all relevant parties, while also improving their social and economic conditions, as stated by the PMD. During the event in Nuwara Eliya, 62 police officers will be honored for their important work in drug raids.
