A 65-year-old man was killed with a sharp weapon in Haputale, and the local police have started an investigation. The incident occurred last evening (08) in the Pitapola area, and the victim was taken to Boralanda Hospital after the attack. Police identified the deceased as a resident of Pitapola. Early investigations show that the murder happened on agricultural land owned by the victim. The police have not yet determined the motive for the crime or the identities of any suspects.
