A man was arrested for having a foreign-made gun and two live bullets. He has been ordered to be held until 12 February 2026, as directed by the Wattala Magistrate today (30). The arrest happened during a special search by police in the Pamunugama area after they received information. Senior Superintendent of Police Kamal Ariyawansa, who leads the Central Crime Investigation Bureau, supervised the operation. The search was carried out by M.G. Chanaka, the Officer in Charge of Homicides & Organized Crime Investigation Division. Investigations into the case are still ongoing in Sri Lanka.
