As of now, 173 people are still missing following the landslides and floods caused by Cyclone Ditwah, according to the Disaster Management Centre (DMC). Out of those unaccounted for, 69 are from the Kandy District, 38 are from the Kegalle District, and 32 are missing in the Nuwara Eliya District. The DMC has reported that the death toll from this disaster has reached 649, with Kandy District suffering the most, accounting for 243 deaths. In addition, 89 people in Badulla District and 81 in Nuwara Eliya District have also lost their lives. Currently, there are 6,680 individuals being housed in 85 relief centers set up in the affected regions of Sri Lanka.
