Police have reported that a man, aged 44, who was seriously hurt in a shooting last night (16) in Jinthupitiya, Colombo, has died from his injuries. He was taken to the National Hospital of Colombo for treatment but could not be saved. Along with him, a three-year-old girl and a four-year-old boy were also injured during the incident. The injured children are receiving care at the Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children in Colombo. The shooting occurred at a place known as 125 Watta in Jinthupitiya. According to the police, a group arrived in a three-wheeler and carried out the shooting before escaping. Investigations are ongoing to find the suspects, as stated by the police.
