I see a lot of our members are laughing at Tamil Nadu when we have more than enough materials in our land of miracles to laugh at.

We elected a bunch of uneducated thugs to govern us, so I think we have no right to cry rather than enjoying these antics.

We fully deserve what we receive these days.

Right you are. I`m also of the opinion that we need to clean in front of our doorsteps first before complaining about the others.

Birds hitting is not a new thing this can be happened anywhere in the world in usa it self around 12k last yr.

    http://www.usatoday.com/story/travel/flights/2013/04/01/airports-plane-bird-strikes/2043411/

[The number of reported collisions hit 11,590 last year, almost double the 6,769 in 2002 and four times the 2,892 of a decade earlier, according to Federal Aviation Administration.]

while I agree mattala not the perfect place for an air port ,this is not the end of the world.and it should be managed and can be managed if there is a will to do so

    in india

[On Wednesday, the Pune-Bangkok flight, which departs at 1.45 pm from the city, was called back after a bird hit. The flight, which was cleared for take-off, was recalled to the airport and rechecked thoroughly. Although no damages were reported, the passengers had a frightening time.

Airport director Manoj Kumar Gangal said bird hits are a universal threat for the aviation industry. We in Pune are aware of the threats, but have managed to address it properly, he said.

Wing Commander R R Lal, spokesperson of Lohegaon Air Force Station, also admitted that there was a problem of bird hits but said it is under control.

BTW in Australia even in suburban areas many wild animals frequently still collides with vehicles including kangaroos, rabbits etc

The biggest curse to our country is people who understand what is happening but are either looking the other way or try to justify the mess by bringing examples to justify the dumb ass decisions made....Most likely they have benefited / plan to benefit / or cant accept that we helped to create a monster that is out of control...
