    No Hard Feelings Empo...

    My Approach is non-traditional!

    Empo,

athida ahagaththa? had Sudda didnt introduced western civilization, we would still be living like those people! This is why we never heard/hear about such things in the western(Christian) world :D

[the story is between a high cast family and a low cast family and how a foreign man who comes to the village influences these two families. The story goes on describing how the low cast family is suffered by the high cast family and their friends in the village. ]

cant remember it had thing to do with caste, but I could be wrong. seen it loooong time ago!

disclaimer : this post has nothing to do with Christianity :)

    Simple Minds,

[If not for the Western (Christain) Invasion, we would have still had the similar life style and Punchi Menikas and Hinnihamys would have under the fully control of anti-progressive males. ]

Can t agree much . There are many modern Asian cultures which have evolved into advanced civilizations preserving characters of their culture.

Without anciant civilizations of China, India and Egypt west is nothing today.

    Thinking,

[athida ahagaththa? had Sudda didnt introduced western civilization]

    thats only his subjective judgement.

Rajathuma , don t take arithmatic very serious :)

[cant remember it had thing to do with caste]

well this Silindu s daughter gets married to the village haeadman s brother who are considered `Upper class` Perhaps not necessarily a class conflict , but rather socio-economic background.

[disclaimer : this post has nothing to do with Christianity :)]

    Thank you !.

    Empo

    Good posting. Thanks.

    SM

Empo has express in better words the way I feel about it.

    TK

Let`s not forget that, although there is no cast system in the West, we are reasoning in terms of high class, middle class, low class etc., so a certain way of `classification` also exists here.

  • 26 Mar 2011 14:17:14 GMT

    Empo,

I agree about the class, wealth issues. but couldn`t remember it had much to do with `caste` specifically. Not sure if there were hints towards Fernando though. Can`t remember much anyway :)

Had it been there it would be very much open as it was the case those days...

    Ele,

Machan, please don`t read (most of) my posts `literally`.. :D

Totally agree with the facts you mentioned above.
