Sri Lanka Govt. to abolish or reform Executive Presidency

    [Mr Rajapaksa has now said he does not think any generally acceptable solution has yet been suggested, so `after the present election I am going to put forward my own solution to the problem` he told BBC s Charles Haviland in Colombo.


    Why wait ? If he has a solutiuon he can pit it forward now.

    Why wasn`t this asked from the opposition before parliamant was disolved or even before the presidential election soon after war ended?

    Doesn`t this contradict the so called 58% voting to re-elect MR for Presidency for another term?
