It is not only sf that we should sympathize with but all those millions of voters from the opposition who voted for him. however, politics is not for naive minded people. you need the balls to stay the course and hopefully sf has it. political exigencies will create allies from opponents and vice a versa within a matter of minutes.

What a drama. You couldn`t make up this stuff.

I think it is abundantly clear that the least worst candidate won the Presidential election, and that was the best anyone could hope for in the current circumstances. Thank goodness. Sudu Kodi Fonny would have created a civil war with a divided army and divided Sinhalese citizens.

Fellow bloggers, has Sri Lanka Justice Ministry website been hijacked? Have a look at justiceministry.gov.lk, it shows details of a movie called Ira Handayata. Google cache shows the correct page from 22nd January.

When a child starts acting out of a bloated ego, he is bound to end up in a disaster.

And this political infant thought that he could swim with the sharks.

Right now, he is doing MR a favour by dividing the Opposition squarely.

I think MR is right to keep him in custody. Otherwise, this fellow will go and get himself disappeared and MR will be blamed for that too.

With all these his ego has not subdued a bit. He will one day destroy everyone around him and himself too. JVP rightfully deserves that fate.

Sri Lankans are blessed and fortunate not to have made a President out of him.

In Sri Lankan politics, party matters as much as the persona. If RW and SF both contest under swan symbol for Colombo district, there is a chance that SF getting more preferential votes than RW. However,SF contesting on JVP ticket is quite unlikely to score more than RW even though his presence will reduce the RWs score.

People prefer radical personalities only if they contest under a `responsible & traditional` party.Radical personalities contesting under radical parties are not much appreciated in general.....
