Why does only Sri Lanka come under war crimes?

I agree too... the LTTE was one of the most brutal terrorist groups the earth has ever seen.

I am from Australia, and have a real love for Sri Lanka.. and am praying that this beautiful country will once more become a haven of peace and harmony.

I would also like to say to Nimal45 (above) that he is wrong to suggest that people living in the West want to bully 3rd World countries... you must remember that we, like you, are made up of people who only want peace, security and the best for their children.

You must never allow hatred into your heart - why would you want to `teach me a lesson`? You have never met me.

Al Quaida is an evil for all people of the earth - and is no different from the LTTE.

[The best thing is to start investigate firstly from the greatest ever known civilian slaughter by US in Hiroshima and Nagasaki by using Nuclear weapons.]

Also what has been going on in Palestine from 1948 and the daily atrocities and humiliation inflicted on the Palestinians which some how do not make it to the Media.

Well said. Sylvie, nothing personnel. But it is too well obvious that EU and US were trying to stop our conflict coming to an end. This is nothing to do with normal civilians in these countries. But some powerful people in the political and business arena trying to stir things up. All these big news agencies are part of them.

Just read what they did to Haiti`s local rice production (I`m sorry I cannot recall where I got the news to give a link). Most of the problems in South America, Africa and Asia have roots to these big bullies.

The article clearly shows the double standards of the West specially regarding SL and it`s fight against terrorism.

Anton Balasingham was an LTTE leader when the LTTE was banned as a terrorist organisation in the UK. With all that AB the terrorist was allowed to live on British soil seek treatment in British hospitals and when the rascal died the British Government allowed LTTE faggots to use the Alexandra Palace for this terrorists funeral and even had the British Police in attendance for security.

Would the British allowe a similar thing to Bin Laden or a aleader of the Al-Qaida?

Canada banned the LTTE as a terrorist organisation officially BUT unofficially what ever the LTTE faggots want to do is allowed to go on.

Australia is still to ban the LTTE. Why? because all the states except Victoria is not in favour of banning it. The reason? Tamils living in Victoria having sufficient political clout to prevent the LTTE being banned.

I reckon all these double standards are due to the tamil influence in the political arena in all those countries.

If MR does not address these issues and bring it under control celebrations in Colombo and the war victory euphoria will be short lived. Unless MR brings forward a political solution as promissed it`s just a matter of time before the LTTE raises it`s head once again and what they would do and how they would proceed towards their goal of eelam is any one`s guess. But the fact is that the tamils would not lie low for long.

Both the US and the UK have recently jailed members of the LTTE for `supporting a terrorist group`.

My point was that you should not blame the people of a whole nation because of the political activities of their governments.

We all have the same needs, we are all human and most of us are kind.

The fact that Nimal said that the people of western countries deserved the killing and maiming of innocents by Al Quaida means that he supports the very same tactics as the abhorrent LTTE.

This is a very good article which states the FACTS.

Hillary,Miliband and Obama must take full responsibility for killing 140 Afghan Civillians, before they falsely accuse Mahinda and Sri Lanka forces of killing civillians.
