Govt. must think of the challenges and country s problems instead of endless celebrations and self glorification

The war victory does not give cause to the Govt. to celebrate and for the President to use it to self glorify forever. There are greater challenges and urgent burning problems of the people to solve as they made the greatest sacrifices enduring all the hardships imposed by the Govt. blaming on the war while the Forces made their sacrifices in the field , said S.B. Dissanayake UNP Central Provincial Council Opposition Leader addressing the media at the UNP media unit today (24 Jun). The Govt. must seriously give thought to how and why the ethnic conflict arose in the past and how it could be averted in the future rather than being obsessed as to how it could increase its already over bloated Cabinet of Ministers giving portfolios to its sycophants and serfs eagerly waiting to grab them .
Right now , the Govt. must realize its onerous responsibility, that is, solve the monumental cost of living burdens of the people , save the fast deteriorating economy and formulate plans and programs which could reap benefit for the country . The war victory has not given it the license to become more self centered, and only think selfishly to benefit itself , its cronies , lackeys and political discards trying to join its ranks to earn portfolios and perks at the expense of the masses. The President and the Govt. must devise ways and means to alleviate the people s sufferings . Forever, it cant burn people s pockets to fill its pocket full of holes . It cannot forever ride on the backs of the people ruthlessly . It must try to stop the colossal corruption , wastages , irregularities and bungles in the State sector, Dissanayake observed.

No ISG. Federal Summa. Sinhalese are too sympathetic towards
Tamils.
Tamils must learn to speak in Sinhala and their culture. If they can learn foreign languages and be in the systems while they take refuge in western countries, why not in Sri Lanka?
If Tamils do this, one day Sinhalese people will vote for a Tamil president in Sri Lanka.
That is why Obama could be the president of the USA and Man Mohan Singh could become the Indian Prime Minister.
Tamils inherently refuse to live in harmony with other people. That is why problem arises everywhere they go. (Malaysia, Singapore, Fiji, etc.) That is why still no Tamilnadu politician could become the prime minister of India |
