Lalith Kothalawala is an excellent entrepreneur. Only few entrepreneurs you find in Sri Lanka like him. He is a honest efficient able man. Man like him is an asset to the country. The Golden Key Company was the first credit card company in Sri Lanka. Without having a bank or backed by international companies like Master VISA Golden Key Credit card was perfectly organized and operated for decades. Seylan Bank was established long after the Golden Key credit card company. He is par with many international business leaders in the world.
The dishonest people in the country (Employees of Golden Key Credit Card Company) ruined the progress of a grate business and ruined the opportunities of creating employments and developments of the country.
Sri Lanka can not go further with dishonest people. Lalith Kothalawala is a excellent model for Sri Lanka. Do not ruin him. Ruin the dishonesty in the country. This man is a business leader not a thief or criminal. People are jealous of his achievements. Do not destroy the good name of this man. Give a helping hand to this man it will give the nation another opportunity in return.
Judges in the country should not act on emotions but on true facts and law. Dishonest people should be given the correct judgment. Preserve this man nation will receive double portion in return. He is an asset to Sri Lanka.

Tribunal,
Early Lalith may have all the qualities you mentioned. However, the later Lalith is a totally different beast!
He robbed the total wealth Rs 600 Mn off Gamini Corea one time UN Ambassador.
He initiated many complex transactions within his groups to swindle the public. He has expatriated estimated $10M or more by withholding foreign remittances in his Singapore and other offices. There we believe that he is involved with Insurance fraud too by manipulating insurance funds -we urge the Sri Lankan government to investigate them as well.
He accuses all the others for wrong-doing, but try to show that he is clean. He and his wife are the only persons in Ceylinco Group who can wield power over the whole group. No one has access to all the companies in the group.
This whole frauds are his masterminds! He should learn a lesson. I regret to see all the innocent employees and depositors suffering because of one man's ill-deeds. |

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka was constantly informing the public about the unregistered Finance companies and the risk involved in investing monies in them.
There are govt Banks which investors could have invested their monies. It is damned good for stingy guys. The Muslim religion prohibits to have interest collected on monies. Probably Prophet Mohammad would have seen this incident many years ago. People must pay back for their RISK.
This is a good lesson which people should think over and over again . |
