Environment Minister of Sri Lanka, Patali Champika Ranawaka today said that US President Barak Obama and French President Nicolas Sarkozy are currently studying the `Mahinda Chintanaya` concept to face the global economic recession.
Speaking at a press briefing held in Colombo this morning by his party, the Jathika Hela Urumaya Minister Ranawaka said that Sri Lanka is not burning by this global economic crisis as the country turned to national economic models earlier.
He said Sri Lanka has shifted to national economic policy as the President Mahinda Rajapaksa pointed out in his `Mahinda Chintanaya` concept at last presidential election in 2005.
According to the Minister economies in other countries are currently collapsing as a result of their liberal economic policies.
Minister Ranawaka said that the countries with collapsed economy including world most powerful state, US should turn to national economic models.
