Buddhist monk desecrates Hindu temple in Colombo Sri Lanka

Colombo Additional Magistrate Ajith Anawaratne Wednesday ordered to remand the Chief Incumbent of Grandpass de Mel Watte Buddhagaya Viharaya, Sri Sapugasyaye Dhammanada Thero and three of his associates for destroying the adjoining Sri Muththumariamman Hindu temple in the early hours on Wednesday.
The Sri Muththumariamman temple is located in highly Muslim populated Khettarama in Grandpass.
On Tuesday, the consecration (Kumpaapisheakam) ceremony was held in which hundreds of devotees took part. During the night that followed, the Buddhist monk and three of his associates got into the temple through the roof and smashed the newly built Amman statue, Vishnu statue, Ramar statue and Sivalingham.
However, residents in the surrounding area alerted the Police. The police rushed to the temple and arrested the culprits and produced them at the courts on Wednesday.

Breaking of Hindu temples nothing new in Sri Lanka... on daily basis GOSL Army is doing it in North and East with GOSL assistance...they get paid incentive by GOSL for breaking / bombing by SLAF... Hindu Temples and churches in north and East...just becaues this incident has happened in Colombo much noise made...many hundreds of very old big Temples and chruches have been destroyed / damaged / burnt by GOSL...nothing said by any body...so this is one more addition to it....this time not by GOSL army but by a sinhala monk...a small change
After eating free meals from poor sinhalayas hard earned money (rich sinhalayas will not give food to these humbug monks)with Katta Karawala curry, Uoorumass theldala, kukulmas kirata, batu badapu malu, Parippu, Arakku etc....then go and break hindu temples in town....This monk has smashed a Amman temple which large number of buddhist sinhalayas worship as Pattini devio....now Pathini devio appala most of the sinhalayas have gone under rain floods today in colombo...Now another crook in town Gangaramaya podi hamuduru galabada ganaseera popular for all Ws (women, wine wealth which is taboo in budisam) has gone to rescue this monk from jail says colombo media
Today JHU humbug Monk olambe sobitha has attacked Colombo bishop Sikera as a LTTE agent in Colombo....these monks who are criminal mad fools will call any body as LTTE agent just to get some cheap popularity.
Some of these JHU monks are a disgrase to budissam and for the few sincere real monks in sri lanka. GOSL should arrest these monks disrobe and suspend their citizenship / civil rights like what they have done for UNP guy S.B Dissanayake

I don't think these Monks follow the Buddhist path.
Buddha converted Hindu India without any violence.

SR forms part of the 571 Brigade. A total of 29 bodies were captured by the Tigers in the fighting and these displayed to junior cadres and civilians in LTTE areas as a morale booster. The Brigade Commander of 571 and Battalion Commanders remained unmoved over the incident. But the 4SR maybe out of action for a while.
