    Aruma:

Any pet: more so a dog becomes a part of the family. So why should a dog be treated any less if you can afford it.

The dog in life gave the doctor love in abundance and asked very little, the so called less privileged gave him nothing, if he does something because he expects to get something in return then he is a hypocrite and not doing it for love or cause.

[With government coffers drying up, the Treasury is looking for ways to find another Rs.400 million to hold the Central Provincial and the Sabaragamuwa Council Elections, finance sources say.

The recently held Eastern Provincial Council election and Eastern local government elections cost the government nearly Rs 260 million.]

People are concerned about this doctor spending his personal funds while ignoring the state wasting peoples funds for personal ego.

I fully agree with DVLADV, let`s not dictate to the good Dr how to spend his money.

As for the comment made by MRBABAH, I think you have a sick mind ! ... don`t judge others by your standards !!

It is nothing new - it takes me back to 1970`s whereas a stray dog (puppy)within Badulla Fish Market area was hit by a Public transport bus. It was an accident, however, the entire fish marketiers claimed ownership of the puppy and went on hitting the bus driver and the CTB (Then) called for an immediate strike... and so on ... It is good to treat animals who`ve better than people who kill people on daylights.

What a sad story the so called inteligent people blinded by the false religion of buddhism spending their time and energy on futile endeavours.Hope people will seek the truth rather than following a dead religious leader who himself said after me Iam no more and I cannot help you.

We have a pet dog by the name of Ringo III. We treat it as a family member, because:

    1. We keep him inside the house through fear that some Humans might poison him. Earlier, RingoI was poisoned by human beings before breaking into our house.

    2. For our security I am sure he would even fight a snake.

    3. He would not let even a visitor touch a family member or even a piece of furniture yet he is very friendly toward all visitors until.....

    4. When we leave the house, he takes over the security. He takes regular walks inside the house and peeks through the window to check the arrival of family members as well as possible intruders.

In many ways, RingoIII is better than some human beings.
