Sri Lanka Transport Board marks 50 years adding 100 new buses

Over 500 new busses still in yards for more than 1 year now. Why these idiots couldn`t make a plan of deployment before they spend millions of our money.

When peoples questioned, ministers answer was `We have a shortage of man power to make use of all busses`.

It is good to see new bus routes as the country is heavily suffering from poor public transportation. But the problem is, existing bus routes where meet overlaps with newly introduce routes will reduce number of busses complaining the share of market value.

Surely these new routes will operate only for few months (that is normal in public transport sector). So as a result at the end of the day there will be less busses in existing routes as well.

I suppose the big belly inefficient minister to stop working for media coverage and give the job to a man who has talents in administration.

100 buses are added when more than 500 servicable buses are rusting and perishing through out the country in most depots without repairs being effected .

Why not get those servicable buses on the road without wasting valuable assets?

This is what is called `Penny Wise Pound Foolish`!

SLTB has 30 employees for every bus. For 100 buses they will need 3000 more employees.
