US Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Robert Blake today called on Army Chief Lieutenant General Sarath Fonseka and discussed current security developments and bilateral military issues and training programmes.
The US envoy during his cordial exchange of views raised inquiries into the conduct of military operations in Wanni to liberate the masses from LTTE terrorist grip and also the measures, being adopted to receive those who are fleeing un-cleared areas in Wanni after abandoning their homes, the Army headquarters said.
In addition, in response to queries Lieutenant General Sarath Fonseka briefed the envoy on development projects underway in the East and security measures launched to restore civil administration, it added.
During their dialogue both of them focused attention on ongoing US sponsored military training programmes for Sri Lanka Army and the Security Forces.

I would like to advise this stupid US ambassador to discuss the security matters in Irak where nearly 4007 US soldiers were killed for their illegal invasion of Irak.
So there is no need of discussing security matters with this military governmednt in Sri Lanka and United states has to learn a lot to understand the thirst of freedom fighters.
US Ambassador should remember what has happened to them in iet-Nam and what has been happening now n Irak and Afghanistan where US soldiers are bein gkilled like dogs.
The time has come to the United States to go back to their countries to rebuild their scattered economy instead of giving lessons to others. |

United States spends 720,000/00$ per day in Irak and USAmbassador should discuss security or withdrawal from Irak instead of discussing rubbish security matters with the sri lankan army chief.
It is finished now for the United States to put their fingers all over the world.
Bin ladan destroyed the famous twin tours and US forces are being killed like dog s in Afganishtan and Irak.
So what is the use of taking security matters with this small Island.? |
