Most of the offices in Colombo should be moved to Jayawardenepura.

[A premium bus service commencing from various locations for car owners will be introduced as an optional medium term plan.]

Yes we saw the Green Circle buses, the AC City buses, the luxury boat service along the western Coastline from Panadura to Galle Face, The Colombo Metro, the electric office trains running between Colombo-Fort and Ragama, and with all that and this `Premium Bus Service` we will have a fantastic transport system in Sri Lanka which is a role model for all other countries!

    Mungey boru kaiwaaru witharai.

Big plans in theory, but practically it`s chaos, no co-ordination, red tape, corruption, inefficiency, lethargy, incapability and political bungling wherever one could immagine and all these `ideas` are simply dreams!

Another scheme by the government to strangle the people and business in Colombo and rob more out of the people who are struggling to make a living.

The idea of charging vehicles to come into the city during daylight hours is very good as it will encourage heavy lorries to transport their goods at night. However, I doubt whether this government has the political will to implement this - It depends on how much influence the big lorry owners have.
