Army Commander Lt. General Sarath Fonseka has said that politicians who are building negative attitudes belittling the contributions of the war heroes, are an insult to the entire nation.
Opposition Leader Ranil Wickramasinghe had queried as to what was significant about the capture of Thoppigala. He had said that it had been captured on many occasions and was only a jungle. Parliamentarian Mangala Saramaweera claimed that despite what was said by the ITN and Rupavahini TV Channels and the Dinamina, Silumina and Observer newspapers, the war was being dragged after 30 years and a colossal amount was being expended on the illusion that is called war.
The Army Commander opined if hundreds of thousands of security personnel were employed elsewhere, the Government still would have had to pay their salaries and provide them with food. The Army needs to buy weapons to eliminate the terrorists. It is foolish to make such calculations. It is a picture created by a fool who cannot understand the reality. There are certain armies in the world that have not fought for even 10 years and not killed a single terrorist. Armies do not earn any income. It is improper for a politician or an intellectual to make misleading statements due to their fluency in English. Results of the achievements should be taken into consideration. The Army Commander added that the statements had been made considering the public as fools.

This kind of Talks by anti-SriLanklan Politicians should be remembered during the election time. So, people will never VOte for them.
They can belittle it. but, the results are in front of our eyes.
Probably those who belittle have other concerns. Particularly, the GAY MP Mangala Rajapakse is angry that he was side lined.
RANIL is a proven loser even after this much loss for him. Everytime when he opens the mouth it is for the wrong reason.
The best part of this is CBK, I am sure, is waiting to blame MR if the WAR fails saying that selecting MR as the Presidentail candidate was her third mistake.

1. He lost as a family man.( Luckily this idiot does not have kids)
2. He lost as a PM
3. He lost as a Gay guy to Man(Gala)
4. He betrayed the country
5. He insulted the forces
After all,
6. He lost 16 ( I ma not sure, may be more than that) as the opposition leader( luckily). Can anyone name one of such an Opp. leader in any country?
After all this guy is a curse to Sri Lanka as well as tho the world.
