Bomb Blast In Slave Islad - Sri Lanka

A loud blast shook the Sri Lankan capital on Wednesday near a small downmarket hotel, killing four people and wounding 20, a senior hospital official said. `Twenty people were admitted to hospital with blast wounds. Four people were killed, including two soldiers,` said Anil Jasinghe, director of the National Hospital in Colombo. (Reuters)
A large bomb explosion took place at Slave Island this morning (January 02) at 9.35a.m. According to unconfirmed news sources, a bomb was triggered off targeting an Army bus.
23 wounded.
Casualty figures are yet to be confirmed. More information will follow.
According to City-FM, it is at the junction, the CLAYMORE BOMB targeted a SLA- BUS. Casualties not known.
