Go tell that to the Marines!

Underline the relationship between two countries, yes Treatment to different racers at your desk.

Bickering enough to cover the face.

Regardless of the importance of the person who wants a visa,a foreign mission has the authority to act upon rules on people who wants to visit their country as there are rules and regulations regarding the issual of visas. The minister could have applied for the visa(or his secretary on behalf of him) if he were a serious person and know the rules or at least respect the rules, before he went to Japan or anywhere(these days ministers are like business peole as they are in foreign countries more than in SL just for the sake of the development of our country(or busy making private contracts??!).

I think the Canadian Embassy went beyond the rules and did a favour when they issued the visas in two days. How can we blame Canadians when they work according to rules?Tony Blair`s wife was fined by the transport inspectors who knew who she was for travelling without a valid ticket on a public train when Blair was the priminister of UK!!Rules are same for everybody in civilized countries!

Do we behave like civilized people at least? I dont think so.One good example is minister Mervin silva went to the Canadian embassy with a hand gun waving and entered by force pushing the guard and asked immigrant visas for his son. So may be our ministers think that they are the most powerful after god or what so ever.May be the Canadian mission thought that the above mentioned minister would come with a cannon or a multi barrel rocket launcher in case if they did not issue him a visa and that is why they have issued him the visas in 2 days time!!

We should not critizise countries who run their missions according to rules and regulations.Their support to tigers in another issue if they really support them and to be dealt with a different manner.

In SL the proverb goes Not see the BEAM in one`s own eyes but see the piece of dust in somebody`s eyes.(In this case there was nothing in other person`s eyes)

I think except SL, other nations have rules and regulations or valid laws in their countries!

POOR SRI LANKA A PARADISE WITH EDUCATED PARLIAMANTARIANS ONCE, BECAME A PARADISE OF THUGS,RUFFIANS AND ROWDIES NOT TO MENTION THE RUTHLESS KILLERS LIKE Prabhakaran and Premadasa.

    Ashok27 ...........stupid moron.

JUst mix unwanted stories here and cannot talk to the point.

It is very clear that CAnadian High Commisssionor was negligent about what is going in her own office.

  • 27 Sep 2007 23:45:28 GMT

I hope she will read it. they are very arrogant, negligent and full of superiority complex.

[The HC says we have made some `unfounded accusations against Sri Lankans who work for diplomatic missions`. (Emphasis added) We say: `Imagination that is your creation!` We made no specific reference to Sri Lankans. We only said there were moles of separatists in diplomatic missions. Those moles don`t necessarily have to be Sri Lankans! We hope the HC can see the point we are making.

As for the flawed argument in the HC`s letter, we humbly request her with due respect to go tell that to the Marines. ]
