Just as courts untangle problems Chief Justice Sarath N. Silva appears to be untangling a knot in the sandalwood garland put on him at the opening of the office of the Board of Quazis at Hulftsdorp in Colombo yesterday.

Very soon he'll be in trouble. Becos he's against MR.
One good thing about Silva is, he delivers verdicts bravely. But I don't like the verdict against the film 'Aksharya'. It is a big blow for freedom of expression.

His verdict on 'Aksharaya' is the best ever!
Freedom of expression is poles apart with allowing a lunatic to express his lunatic mind freely to the public!
Keeping insane members of the society in their due place is a social responsibility! |

If MrBrown believed this theory he would have banned you from LNP long ago.

It's my humble opinion.
I never saw that film. But banning it from screening is unacceptable on my stand point of view. Each adult has sixth sense to seperate 'nonsense' from 'creative art'. I think people are the good judges. If they think Aksharya is crap, they don't hesitate to dump it.
Artist should have artistic freedom. |

Athukorala,
If everybody in this society is as intelligent, educated and matured like you there is no need to ban anything.
Unfortunately we have Damayanthis too in the society.

He is one brave person
Berty
He is a BRAVE man
I suppose 'brave'
1. to grab the wife of another man and then threatening that man to withdraw the case filed by him.
2. to adorn the Bench of the highest court of the land as the Chief Justice while committing adultery.
3. to fornicate with a woman in a car out on the main road and then getting it swept under the carpet when the police caught him for indecent behaviour in public.
4. to get his name as co-respondent in a case struck of illegally by preassurising the District Judge who was to hear that case.
5. to appoint unsuitable individuals to the minor judiciary to favor local politicians even though two other Supreme Court judges resigned from the Judicial Service Commission in protest.
6. to give the order to the director CID to arrest a high court judge and then back tracking when the tables turned.
7. to put a contract killer as the care taker of the Judges' Institute and shelving the cases against him.
8. to giving the judgment in the famouse 'Z-Score Case' disregarding the law and facts purely to satisfy the ruling party at that time.
BRAVO!
