Billions in public funds for MPs vehicles
Tuesday, 21 August 2007 - 4:56 AM SL Time

All parliamentarians except JVP members have imported duty free super luxury vehicles incurring an expenditure of more than US$ 8 million and causing a loss of Rs. 2.5 billion to the Treasury ? or public funds - due to the duty waiver, a highly placed Customs official said yesterday.

The government has paid more than Rs. 13 million each as duty for the super luxury vehicles imported by JHU parliamentarians, Ven Ellawala Medhananda, Ven. Athuraliye Ratana and Ven Kotapola Amarakitti Theras, while only Rs. 3,492,000 and Rs. 4,932,000 have been paid as duty for the vehicles imported by JVP Parliamentary group leader Wimal Weerawansa and JVP MP Anura Kumara Dissanayaka respectively.

The super luxury vehicles imported by the parliamentarians including the Prime Minister, the Opposition Leader, the Speaker, all Cabinet and non Cabinet Ministers and a majority of both government and opposition members utilizing to the limit the maximum ceiling of US$ 35.000 include brand names such as Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Montero and Prado.

It is learnt even the wives of assassinated Foreign Minister Lakshman Kadirgamar and Member of Parliament N. Raviraj have imported vehicles using this privilege.

`Contrary to popular belief, these vehicles are not duty free. They are duty free only for the privileged parliamentarians as they do not pay any duty.

But duties and taxes for each vehicle are paid in full by the Parliamentary Affairs Ministry from public funds,` the official said.

JRJ must rot in hell for the destruction he caused to the country.

Ex. President, PR system, liquor bar permits, car permits.

Chandrika and Percy and Co. enjoying the spoils.

RW did not allow even his men to receive the benefits. So he is now solving problems in Nepal.

So the total duty paid for the super luxury vehicles of the 3 yellow robed thugs is 39m! Look, they are preaching about a life after death and the need to accumulate merit for the next life. That is for the foolish village man and woman while they are accumulating wealth for this life. All this is happening when half the population of the country is slowly starving to death due to high cost of living.
Those yellow robed thugs must be stoned to death in public.

What? They have only imported Mercedes and BMW? When will we see the first import of a Bentley, Rolls Royce or even a Ferrari?

Is this the way the government is motivating the average citizen to be honest and contribute positively to the well being of the community?

Corruption is the real cancer of this nation and far more dangerous than the Velu fan club, also known as LTTE.

All the dogs must be fighting their way to the temples under Ven Athuraliye Ratana Thero and Ven Kotapola Amarakitti Thero as they are getting down luxury Benz cars. Already Ven Ellawala Medhananda Thero have already promised his luxury Benz car to the dogs in the temple, so I hope the Ven Athraliye Ratana Thero and Ven Kotapola Amarakitti thero will follow the example set by Ven Ellawa Medhananda Thero.

Re-birth is believed in Buddhism, I am sure most Buddhist followers will love to be re-born as dog as they will be ensured of Benz cars as their homes once they re-born to this world again.

We Sri Lankans are famous for records including world records. We have world records in Cricket, highest cabinet members, killings, corruption etc. We will be the first country in this world to provide Benz cars for dogs using public funds which even a developed country cannot afford to do so. It?s a great achievement for this small country striving in poverty.

Well done Sri Lanka, May triple gem bless on you forever.

Our MPs including the Sinhala Buddhist monks, make money by selling Car permitts given to them for their comforts and safety.

Sri Lanka has the biggest cabinet in the world. So MPs want to become ministers to get more bribes and commissions. The MPs from the Opposition join the Govt to get cabinet posts. The guiding principle is make as much as while being an MP.

Not a single MP allow his son to join the army or navy but sends them abroad to study English to follow their foot steps or jounalists. They encourage poor youths from the South and Northeast to join army and police to get killed.
