When the very top is run by criminals why should the populace behave any differently, lead by example!

These people don`t have the brain to build the Illegal roads under the railway lines.

Not only is it a safety problem it is also a nuisance and also a contributing factor for flooding.

Anyone who knows the small tracks going through Narahanpitiya/Nugegoda and slums lining that will know what I am talking about.

People think law is in their hands. They don`t care of others property or public Property.Railway tracks or side of the railway is property of railway, since railway is government owned,it is the property of government. It is not only the illicit building of crossings, using the railway property for trespassing too is illegal.Open your eyes GMR and engineers in RHQ-Maradana

this is not the fault of the government though i also believe they should take action against those people who break laws and misuse public property.

Railway lines are supposed to have a `safe area` on both sides of the track. But if you go around to see...people have encroached into these areas with their temporary housing etc cos it`s an easy way out.

I remember once during floods the government evicted all residents living on kelani river bund...these were illegal houses since they have carved land into the bund itself making it weaker... these people were given houses and sent away about 8-10 years ago but after being in that area recently i can see that new sets of `residents` are doing the same thing again... when the floods come again they`ll also cry foul at the government...

this is not right. though they are low income people doing things like these is the `easy way out` for them rather than having to work hard like everyone else...

i`d say sue those law breakers and make an example out of it
