Mihin Air flying in turbulent conditions

Sajin Vass is the coordinating secretary of president and he will continue to spend as he pleases.

People who are supporting Mihin Air to fly at a low cost shoudd realize that people of SL are forced to pay for your discount.

Sajin Vass and bandit brothers will leave the country when this project fails leaving treasury and other govt banks high and dry. Already Lankaputhra Bank (CEO is the father of Sajin Vass) is bankrupt after funding Mihin Air and MR, using his excuitive powers, is trying to merge that with SME Bank (running at a profit) citing a bogus aqusition. Really it is sacrificing a profitable venture to safeguard a failed politically motivated bank.

We are nose diving as a nation with MR at the helm. What can we do?

Himin Air refused to give me a refund when I postponed my trip.

However I heard that the service is very good and food is excellent too. If it falls on to good managers Himin Air will do well.

They should also change the corporate colour. When some people see the unform they simply go blue.

I think we should give atleast 18 months to settle down. Political interference should not be allowed to interfere in the day to day running of the Airline.

[We are nose diving as a nation with MR at the helm. What can we do?]

The obvious is not much more than conducting Mahaaa Bodhi Poojas to bring about immidiate accesion of Rajapaksa Samagama to eternal harrak-dom.

All of us those who voted him will follow him up there by virtue of our sins (no poojas needed) - but that will be on a later day.

It is theoritically possible however, that the view of the departing presidential posterior would bring us so much elation so that we may get unshackled of our sins - and thereby avoid the one way trip to harrak-dom.

But there is a less timid alternative as Thunderclap Newman says

`Lock up the streets and houses

Because there`s something in the air

We`ve got to get together sooner or later

    Because the revolution`s here,

    and you know it`s right

And you know that it`s right

We have got to get it together

We have got to get it together.... NOW`

It looks as if Mihin Air has become a `front` for channelling state funds into a Bank run by Mihin Air CEO`s father. It is time for MR to sit up and take notice.

If these two (Sajin Vaas Gunewardene and his father) some-how managed to work their way into MR`s confidence, and have now become `trustees` of public funds .. then there is a big `let-down` coming for MR.

Hope one of his more `alert` brothers pick up this message, and `wise-up` MR to what is happening .. and the certain bankruptcy towards which Mihin Air is heading. (If MR cannot insert sound financial controls into this operation, he`d do best to wind it up .. before Mihin Air goes on to ruin his reputation).

It looks like Mihin is running in to trouble with Chief Flight Ops Manager`s sudden departure!

Budget Airline is a good concept I feel if it could be managed properly with the right & suitable people are put in charge!

For a start, they could think of renaming it to ` Air Ceylon`

Mihin Air needs a CEO who has a good understanding of the budget airline business model. Ideally it needs someone with experience in a budget carrier. I`m not sure how capable this Sajin Vass Gunawardena is, but time will tell.

Does anybody know what sort of experience Sajin has had previously?

Mihin Air going to pass Srilankan Air bill.
