[Letting the government have a hand in Sri Lankan Airlines` affairs (or anything, for that matter) will only reverse all the good work done so far and then will become an employment agency of the minister who is in charge at the time, whether UNP or SLFP]

    Fully agreed.

LOL why only 40% can go down to 80% below, it doesn`t matter when you don`t run an airline as a business but only as a loophole to steal more money...

You can run 100% below other air lines when you rob banks to fund Mihin Air.

[Hue and cry against Lankaputra investments in Mihin Lanka - Govt. dabbling with public monies - CEO of Mihin Lanka is a Presidential advisor and son of Lankaputra Chairman

Charges were leveled in parliament yesterday against Lankaputra Bank investments in Mihin Lanka Airlines. It was alleged that funds of Government Institutions, the public monies deposited in the Lankaputra Bank are being irresponsibly used for Mihin Lanka funding.

It was further explained that if the Government wished a fully Govt. owned Airline it should wait until the agreement between Emirates and Sri Lankan Airlines expired in 2008, rather than dabbling in launching Mihin Lanka Airlines.

Soon this airline going be closed or it will only take Mental Raala`s foreign trips with his jumbo tourist ministers and friends.

To fly Europe Mihin air should get IATA safety standard clearance before flying over their skies.

What happen to some Indonesian airlines(garuda), same will happen to mihinair

Someone who have flew should complain about the safty regulation of this airline to IATA.

Mihin Lanka is doing a great service to Sri Lankan poor working community here to travel to SL and comming back to Dubai.

Still there are short fall like baggage handling, weight factor etc.,

Compared with prices in Sri lankan and Emirates return ticket in the summer season it is more than 60% cheap travelling in Mihin Lanka
