Yashodara`s wedding in London

The wedding ceremony of former President Chandrika Kumaratunga`s daughter Yashodara took place in London yesterday according to Sinhala tradition, reports said. It is learnt that only five Sri Lankans were invited for the ceremony and among them were President`s brother and Minister Anura Bandaranaike, sister Sunethra, two businessmen Harry Jayawardene, Ranjan Eumo and former minister Mangala Samaraweera.
Reports also said among other invitees were several heads of state, who were in power during President Kumaratunga`s regime and relatives of Yashodara`s husband Dr. Roger Walker.

tradition probably only allows the number of people that can be counted on one hand!
i guess even CBK thinks Lankans are bad!!thats VERY bad!

This is hardly news.
There are more serious matters to be bothered with a disgraced former persident's daughters wedding.
Mahinder is well on the way to be the next disgraced Sorry Lankan President. |

I think Chandrika is a decent lady too.the problem is when your a President of a country like SRI LANKA you get a lot of enemies politically..The people of SL had Chandrika as their President for a very long time..why complain now

I suppose Yasodhara made a good selection and married to an educated doctor and had a wedding according to Sinhala tradition. Happy marriage life for the newly married couple.
Former President CBK could have invited Mr. Ranil Wickremasinghe for her daughter Yashodara's wedding because this is the only way she can retaliate from president MR at present. |
