EU strongly condemned the eviction of Northern and Eastern Tamils from lodges

The European Union yesterday, in a statement released to the media, strongly condemned the eviction of Northern and Eastern Tamils from lodges in the city and described the act as a blatant violation of internationally recognized human rights.
The EU said it encourages a search for a peaceful solution to the ethnic conflict.
`Sri Lanka has genuine concerns about internal security, but the European
Union believes these violations will not enhance security and will ultimately be counter productive. The forced removal of Tamil People from the capital is likely to deepen the rift between the ethnic communities and risks intensifying the conflict`, the statement said
The EU called upon the Government to immediately stop the forced displacement of Sri Lankan citizens from Colombo and take urgent action to safeguard the rights of those already removed

I feel that most of them are fleeing the barbarity of the LTTE. Parents do what ever possible leave every thing they have so that they don't become another victim of the tamil blood hungry LTTE leadership who treats tamil life as sheer dirt, worth only to be sacrificed for an idiotic dream of a manic depressive.
LTTE says this struggle is because GOSL discriminates tamils.
THEN
WHY
more than 500,000 tamils have fled to the south?
Has a single Tamil family gone from the south to the milk and honey freedom land????????
The answers-
-LTTE allows tamils only to open mouth to eat
-Vanni is a giant torture chamber or hell on earth
-Tamils are stranded in the ruins and ashes of myth of eelam
-Thousands of horror stories such as son is kinapped after shooting the foot of the father
-No jobs, no development, no future, no hope, no education etc etc etc
If they leave the gates of vanni open for a day, the whole population will flee ruthless barbarity of LTTE ! |

| Then EU will have to do it. I don't think any one is capable of dictating to LTTE what to do or not to do as they don't take handouts and are not under obligation. |
