A few weeks ago, The Island reported that Taraka Dissanayake, former minister S. B. Dissanayake`s second son had come second in a pilot`s licentiate test held by Swinburne University in Australia, and that on the strength of that result, obtained a fully paid scholarship to a top University in Florida, USA. Now, SB`s eldest son Narada Dissanayake has graduated at the top of his batch at Monash and has been awarded a Bachelor of Economics degree.
He has now registered for his Masters in Econometrics at the same university. SB`s sons Narada and Taraka were notorious a few years back for getting involved in brawls at nightclubs and casinos in Colombo. Both of them appear to appear to have turned over a new leaf after being sent to Australia by their father.
