Suspect Nugegoda SSP sent to Police School

Controversy surrounds a Police Headquarters decision to transfer SSP K. Udayapala, in charge of the Nugegoda Division, to the Police Training College (PTC) in Kalutara, after Colombo Additional Magistrate Ms. Manjula Tillekeratne ordered his immediate arrest in connection with the recent disappearance of hoodlum Nawala Nihal and the killing of his brother Maurice.
Police said that Udayapala was only a suspect. The decision to transfer him was taken pending the finalization of the investigation.
The Court ordered Udayapala`s arrest on March 22. The Court also directed police to brief the National Police Commission (NPC) on the investigation.
The policeman`s alleged involvement with the underworld came to light after Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) arrested a notorious gangster identified as Maiya. Police are also investigating the possibility of Maiya and Suranga, held in connection with the murders of Maurice and Noel Wickremasinghe, having connections with the LTTE.
President Mahinda Rajapakse last month ordered IGP Victor Perera to take immediate action to cleanse the Police Force.

Ms. Manjula Thilakaratna in reality you have to appreciate what SSP K.Udayapala has done. It will take years and years for you to do what Mr. Uadayapala has done in two three days. And also he has done a great service to the society by reducing two well known criminals.
Mr. Udayapala give the same punishment to Maiya and Suranga for having connection with bloody LTTE.
Anyway I know Ms. Manjula deep in your heart you appreciate what SSP K.Udayapala has done.

Send Ms.Manjula to kindergarden.
SSP must have has practice mahinda chinthana by useing criminals to thump criminals.
Why not promote SSP to DIG and transfer to Presidential Security Unit.

Why not promote SSP to SP and transfer to Presidential Security Unit.
I think SSP is a highr rank than SP.

| The SSP has taken the correct path by REMOVING THE POISON WITH POISON. Protection to the socity from underworld charactors. IGP please promote him for the work he has done. We should act in keeping in mind, about the murder of Judge Ambepitiya. |

| This is the problem with senior pilice officers. Police Headquarters does not cooperative to eradicate drugs from the country as some senior officers are involved with such illegal business. |
