Another male body was recovered from the Kelani River yesterday within 48 hours after five unidentified bodies were found in Muthurajawela during the weekend, police said.
They said the body had been floating near the bank of the Kelani River in the Kohilawatta area.
The body is lying at the Police morgue and the police are seeking public assistance to identify the body.
On Friday and Saturday, the Pamunugama police recovered five bullet-riddled, decomposed bodies that were dumped in a swamp in the Muthurajawela marshy land.
The victims are believed to have been shot to death in a different location and the bodies dumped in Muthurajawela. Wattala Additional Magistrate ordered for a report from the Pamunugama police.

| The forum should be blamed for this: everyone gave Rawani a hard time and now she has no place to take the frustration and we are seeing bodies floating in Kelani river. :) |

When a dog savagely attacks a human: how much you love the dog is immaterial, you got to put it down.
The shortsighted Sinhalese have been cheering the dog and before long it is going to attack the Sinhalese. I hope I will be able to read the comments of these hooters. Edited By - DVLADV - 7 Mar 2007 00:41:37 GMT |

GoSL is a failed state and a TERRORIST STATE !
Spotlight on HR abuses
Be that as it may, the spotlight is set to again focus on Sri Lanka?s dismal human rights record in the backdrop of increased abductions islandwide and a return to the beeshanaya era of the 1980s with indiscriminate killings, unidentifiable decomposing bodies found strewn in swamps and a complete breakdown of the rule of law.
As barbarism and religious fundamentalism sweep across this country fueled and manipulated by its very political leaders, the fourth United Nations Human Rights Council session will begin next Monday where a resolution on Sri Lanka is to be adopted.
The resolution, based on a report by the High Commissioner for Human Rights, Louise Arbour expressed concern over impunity in some states including Sri Lanka on extra judicial killings and disappearances where even though a commission of inquiry was established there where several shortcomings in the national legal system which hampered its effectiveness. |

All,
Please do not worry about any of these killings.
When we have the bana preaching at the Temple trees of next poya day morning, we will offer 'punya anumodana' for all those who died. (Live telecast from Sirasa TV)
So they can go directly to heaven. Their living standards are much better in heaven so they do not have to suffer any more.
Another promise of Mahinda Chninthanaya fulfilled.
