Prisons Chief disgusted

Commissioner General of Prisons, Major General (retired) Wajira Wijegoonewardene said the battlefront was less harmful and secure than his current job.
`There you know the enemy and they engage you face to face. But, here the modus operandi is backstabbing and one has no clue as to who the real enemy is,` the disgusted prisons chief told The Island yesterday.
He said that operation of cartels of prisons officials and inmates has been the normal practice in the Department. `They belong to all strata and manipulate the procedures within the walls. Action that I take to clean up the prisons of these elements has earned me their their wrath. Now, they conspire to eliminate me,` he said.
He repeated that he had no faith in those who were assigned to provide security to him as almost all were under the influence of the groups and nefarious cartels operating within the Department.

All the GOSL coolies must read this carefully,what is your chief of Prison is talking about..
GOSL is keeping the sh.. inside his head, and talking about the gangsters in UK..
Why not the clown Rambuttan talk about this, in his press meetings?
SL is a breeding ground of gangsters, and thugs...

Except for politicians most others in SL are also disgusted.
Most of the IRCs in prison have the patronage of most politicians.
Sri Lanka is a country ruled by the corrupt for the benefit of the corrupt! The honest, civic minded citizen has no place in SL.

Major,
I don't have to remind you that you did such a good job in cleaning Colombo after Kathir murder, you were taken off on the 11th day itself by the political forces and eventually placed at the Prisons by the political setup.
Now you should have realized that backstabbing is prevalent not only in the forces but also among politicians and convicts and in all areas including Judiciary, Administration and Forces. As of to-day there is no place in our beloved country to do an honest job.
My advice as a well wisher is for you to get to a side and watch the country disintegrating into a Failed State Situation or go abroad and earn your millions. |

| I heard some really good thing about Major General (retired) Wajira Wijegoonewardene. He is a honest and dedicated Officer. Like hmdqbl said. He did a really good job clearing Colombo. |
