The Government said yesterday it would announce its current stance on the Ceasefire Agreement soon.
`Prime Minister Ratnasiri Wickramanayake will make an announcement in this regard very soon,` Cabinet Spokesman Anura Priyadarshana Yapa said urging the media not to listen to any rumours in this regard.
He said currently the Foreign Ministry and the Defence Ministry are discussing the matter before releasing the statement of the Government.
However the minister said Article 4.4 of the CFA clearly stated that either party should inform, 14 days in advance, if it was decided to terminate the agreement.

Better to Keep CFA Till North is cleared From LTTE.
Norway should be there to monitor... Like East.
Eric,Akashi should visit to show things are in tact.
Balance left to SL Armed Forces. |

So the big clown is going to make a statement soon. Who takes him seriously anyway. This government has been making statements after statements each one contradicting the earlier one. So who believes in what the clowns are saying.
Isn't it him who said once that sinhalese should multiply in large numbers so that there will be enough men to join the army and fight LTTe. This clown has his foot in his mouth.
SL is already feeling the pressure of over population. Just visit a school, hospital, gove office and then take a ride on a CTB bus on a pot holed road to know the level of quality the SL are enjoying. Poor Slankans are suffering like animals. Those who make them suffer like the clown Ratanasiri are enjoying while making statements. |
