    No room means No room.

But Mr. MR never used his official powers to get a seat.

That is the beauty of it.

If you say no room for president that is the end of your career life in Sri Lanaka.disgusting political powers. isn`t it ?I am not belongs to any political party.

Please be honest. In England you cannot use your political influence to accommodate yourself in anywhere except the Parliament.

That is the beauty of British politics but not Sri Lankan.

Disgusting political system and British HC is exactly correct in his speech about the current ethnics issue.

Guyz....it is not matter of CBM Vs MR or CMB airport Vs London.......

I have been waiting for 2-3 hours in CMB on-board in 2005 koz MR (PM that time) was going to Dubai.....so, its not the matter of power...

But......the size of the delegation......if only MR is there, I`m sure that Sri Lankan will wait for him for hours and bring him home.....Instead he goes every where with his family, jumbo cabinet group and whole Mihinthota Godayas....so, SriLankan has to evacuate whole booked passengers to accommodate the delegation....so, they dared to reject MR simply......

Weldone SriLankan....Nuba Nadan Motta Rala, Nuba Nadan Motta Rala....Mewa Umbata Honda Padam

I think the issue should be how he chartered a Mihin Air flight just `cos he wanted to come back before the budget vote! not the stupid not getting a seat in the SriLankan flight!

I am glad t this president didn`t use is powers to secure a seat in the Srilankan, unlike the others. If our politicians do the right thing, justly then the people will help them out with their seats, but he must e being the President, should be more organized. He should have pre arranged his trip, months ahead.

UL has dumped Lankans far before.

Emirates have taken most productive routes of UL under there purse. Its not news at all.

Corrupted politicians have sold Lankan assets/rights to foreigners.

    Dear All,

It`s just a matter of seats not available, please don`t think there is no politics involved.

MR or someone else must planned prior to His/Her travel, but MR showed again he is a real gentleman.

UL could not afford the courtesy of a seat to the Prez of Sri Lanka.

That does not speak well for the airline which carries the country name. It should have never happened in the worse case scenario.

    Afterall he is the President.

    Poor show UL.

You think a dictator like Mahinda would not use his POWERS is he realy wanted to. Definitely he planed to fly back home in MIHIN Making him feel top of the world .Why not the return form UK if he made the trip to Japan in MIHIN. Just covering off cause public is coursing him for using national wealth on private comforts.

    Totally agree. Well said.

MR could have used his official powers to get a seat. But he didn`t do it. We should give him credit for that. Doesn`t matter whether he was in UK. He could have still gotten a seat if he wanted to. We have to give him full credit when it is due. Do you think all these people who are barking here would have behaved the way MR did, if they had MR`s powers? Think about that...
