Sighting of Tiger aircraft denied

I got two questions for the minister.

Shouldn`t the government pull all the licenses of all media outlets that gave this information and arrest all reporters who covered this event?

Any chance this was a UFO?

Hon Rumbakwella added, in roder to make the position of the government very clear:

[Lying is forbidden in Sri Lanka. President Mahinda Rajapakse will tolerate nothing but truthfulness as he is a man of great honor and integrity. Everyone is encouraged to speak freely of the truths evidenced in their eyes and hearts. We gave them a real lesson yesterday.

Heavy doesn`t accurately describe the level of casualties we have inflicted on those terrorists. Whenever they bring out their puny airplanes, which they do not even possess, much less flew yesterday, we fight them off and scare them as we did yesterday, when they weren`t even there]

Yes, if the enemy aircraft actually took to the skies and appeared on the radar, we would have shot them down, as we did in the past.

The miniister needs to understand why certain media would publish misleading information, the best person to explain this would be the one who generates daily the number of LTTE and securitiy forces casualty figures. He/She should be the super-expert in this area who the government has direct access to.

This is a necessary war exercise to stabilize AAM system. All other installations have to follow procedure to up lift ground controls and to minimize civilian/Friendly fire.
