Mr Paul Leech, Head of International, HSBC visited Sri Lanka from the October 30-31 to discuss the strategic direction of the bank for the coming term. During his visit, he met with the Deputy Governor of Central Bank, Dr Mrs Ranee Jayamaha, to review the nature of the banking industry in Sri Lanka at present. He was also met by the Functional Heads of HSBC, who made their presentations to him on the current position of the organisation and he had the opportunity of examining the areas of growth in each field.
Mr Leech was also able to visit the HSBC Premier centre as well as the Union Place Branch and Business Banking Centre, where he met with key staff and gained their perspective on the bank`s operations. These centers cater to a specific and rapidly growing customer base and were created to better understand the needs of the customers and to provide them with tailor-made solutions.
Mr Leech also visited the Operations Centre and the HDPL Group Service Centre in Rajagiriya. He also had the opportunity of meeting with several key customers.
At the end of his tour, Mr Leech stated that HSBC is dedicated to delivering a world-class experience to the people of Sri Lanka and is committed to explore all possibilities of growth in the country.
