| | Steven Spielberg Friday, 12 January 2007 - 8:21 AM SL Time | | | Introduction:
Steven Spielberg is a three-time Academy Award-winning American film director and producer. He is the most financially successful motion picture director of all time.
Spielberg grew up making movies from an early age. Throughout his early teens, he made other amateur 8 mm `adventure` movies with his friends.
He applied to attend film school at UCLA and University of Southern California`s School of Cinema-Television three separate times but was unsuccessful.
Movies:
(1) Jaws
Jaws is based on Peter Benchley`s best-selling novel of the same name. It is a masterful, visceral and realistic horror-disaster film that taps into the most primal of human fears. The tagline for the tensely-paced film, `Don`t go in the water,` kept a lot of shark-hysterical ocean-swimmers and summer beachgoers wary.
(2) Indiana Jones Trilogy
Dr. Henry `Indiana` Jones, Jr. is a professor, archaeologist, and adventurer who is the main protagonist of the adventure film Raiders of the Lost Ark, its prequel Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, and sequel, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
(3) Jurassic Park
Jurassic Park is based upon the novel written by Michael Crichton. The story involves scientists visiting an amusement park of genetically engineered dinosaurs on an island over one weekend. Sabotage sets the carnivorous dinosaurs on the loose, and technicians and visitors attempt to escape the island.
(4) Schindler`s List
Schindler`s List is based on the book Schindler`s Ark by Thomas Keneally. The tale of Oskar Schindler, a Sudeten-German Catholic businessman who was instrumental in saving the lives of over one thousand Polish Jews during the Holocaust.
(5) Munich
The movie is set after the 1972 Munich massacre. A squad of assassins, led by former Mossad agent `Avner`, is ordered to track down and kill a list of Black September members thought to be responsible for the 11 Israeli athletes` murders

Steven Spielberg had become a considerably successful and renowned film director.
My favorite film!
Schindler's List (1993) is Steven Spielberg's unexpected award-winning masterpiece - a profoundly shocking, unsparing, fact-based, three-hour long epic of the nightmarish Holocaust.
