Just gfoes on to show the humility and the light touch mr president has which also got him thus far right to the top...

way to go sir...this is the way...you despite a short spell thus far have done well and make those who voted for you feel proud...not to mention the forces...

may you get all the blessings of the triple gem and all the gods to guide your spirit and that of sri lanka to the paradise light...!

PRESIDENT IS DOING REALLY WELL, THOUGH I DOUBT IT IN THE VERY BEGINING..

HE NEEDS TO GET THE PUBLIC APPEAL OF THE PREMADASA AND BETTER SIDE OF THE FORMER PRESIDENT. THAT SHOULD MAKE A DIFFERANCE TO THIS COUNTRY..

Congrats to the PR men of VVIP.

I like this. An excellent fairy tale.

You are doing a very good job to boost the popularity of your client!

You are also very imaginative to create and spread this type of rumours. The person who got the idea of creating this story definitely has a good career path in the marketing industry.

See, how many people already believe it!

    This reminds me Jayantha Chandrasiri`s `Guerrilla Marketing`.

Keep up your good work. Let us hear many more fairy tales like this. Especially how the VVIP helped poor people, how he talked to little children, how he helped a disabled man in the road etc. But be careful. Sometimes people might find out.

Yes agree, what a nice story. if only one of the kids in the North and East who were effected by the tsunami of 04 had a phone, the conversation would be much different. Its gonna be 6 months after coming to power what has done to help or expedite the help the most effected regions in the east and north east...... good going PR team but try doing something for a change.

Several local news papers carried this fairy tale today.

Again, congtars. Good work PR team.

According to one version of the story Motta Raala has promised the little girl that he would send an SMS an vote for her idol Shihan Mihiranga.

But of course, that too was only a false promise of a politician because Shihan is out of the competition, two weeks ago.

A good example how good uncles shamelessly lie to little girls!

This concluded presidents election in sri lanka was indeed a land mark in post independent history of sri lanka...

it was a clear polarisation of the patriotic forces and those who did not mind selling the country off for some buks in their pocket...those NGO mudalalis spend a whopping 2000 million budget infavour of a perticuler candidate when hon MR was left out in the cold ...

tosay the least if i may say so it was a `sharamadana` of the patriotic sri lankans which brought MR home aided by the humility and his light touch...

the country oncce again proved that as of today at least for now people value patriotism than money...and are yet not the kind who will seel thier family for cash...

those with wested interests and those traitors and those NGO koti mudalalilas who dreamed or mr ranil`s victory undestandably are still in shock...

its best undestood by the type of comments they post...

dream on guys maybe your era of making love to the tigers will come juat maybe after the next 50 years...

boy boy one can only feel pity...!

I really believe MR will develop Sri Lanka. I am also proud of his vision and leadership. He is a charismatic person. He is not a licking or nervous type. He is not a puphet. I live in overseas but feel living in Sri Lanka when we have a president like him. Good on you.
