Nadarajah Raviraj, 44, Jaffna district Tamil National Alliance (TNA) parliamentarian was shot in Colombo around 8:30 a.m. Friday. The MP succumbed to his wounds at Colombo National Hospital. A lawyer turned politician, former mayor of Jaffna, Mr. Raviraj, elected twice, has been an outspoken parliamentarian who voiced against the extra-judicial killings and forced disapperances in NorthEast and Colombo. The parliamentarian took part in a demonstration Thursday against the Sri Lanka Army shelling in Vaharai where 47 Tamil civilians, Internally Displaced from Trincomalee, were killed, Wednesday.

I feel very sorry for this young politician's death. To be honest he was a very nice man and consist with good sense of humour (Pissu Pusa, yes we remember you Ravi) as to many other older and conservative type MPs.
His death should spark many people as to where our country is lying now?
Whoever the perpetrators are they should be brought to books.

This month lot of activity. Because Velu celebrate his birth day with Dead bodies and blood.
But, LTTE does not have the courage to accept what they are doing. Propaganda machine is well oiled and try to blame this on an ANTI-LTTE GROUP which can not be true.
SERUM - PADAI should be LTTE from east to discredit anti-LTTE groups.
IT IS ESSENTAIL THAT GOSL GOES BEHIND LTTE PROPAGANDA MACHINE NOW. |

He was killed by Mahinda Rajapaksha.
it is to silent the all TNA . TNA was protesting inside parliment and then yesterday they protested outside UNICHF office , asking why international community silent on the genocide. UN condem the killing,

The United States has asked the Sri Lankan government to investigate, arrest and prosecute 'on the most urgent basis' those responsible for the assassination of the Tamil MP Nadarajah Raviraj here on Friday.
'It is critical that crimes such as the murder of Nadarajah Raviraj not go unpunished,' the US Embassy in Colombo said in a statement.
The Tamil National Alliance (TNA) to which Raviraj belonged said in a statement that his assassination was a 'diabolical attempt to suppress a fearless Tamil voice'.
'Mr Raviraj's killing is a clear demonstration that evil forces vehemently opposed to a just resolution of the Tamil question are determined to eliminate voices of reason that can clearly espouse the Tamil cause.'
'This trend can only result in anarchy but the just Tamil cause will never surrender before the sinister designs of such forces,' the TNA's parliamentary group leader R Sampanthan said. |

Yes, this is what you the LTTE mouth piece want the IC to know. This is what the real decent people have to put up with. Try to tear the bogus so-called nationlism exuding from the terrorist tamils LTTE.
Raviraj would not be in any of the Sinhalese targets and anybody who knows him would say so. You are being blindfolded by the Velu murderous specs cannot see anything other than blaming the GOSL or MR or Sinhalese parties. This is very obvious to incite further more.
Let me tell why Mahinda would not kill, if he wanted to kill Ravi or any TNA MP he would have killed long time ago he would not have chosen November to kill him you know why? Because it is the so-called eelam mad man's birthday, the so-called Mahaveer day on 27th.
LTTE tried their luck by killing a decent tamil TNA MP to create a furore inside to cause a huge attack in the next few days. This is the truth. I am sure with Scotland Yard getting into the scene things will be revealed sooner than later and the mask that LTTE wearing will come off.
