LTTE preparing for massive attack, warns JHU

Do not be over-joyed and celebrate the victory at Mavil Aru and Sampur among other victories in the north and east. The LTTE is preparing to launch a more serious attack, warned the leader of the Jathika Hela Urumaya, Puravidya Chakkravarthi MP Venerable Ellawala Medhananda Nayake Thero yesterday (3) on his return after a tour in the Eastern Sri Lanka.
Ven. Medhananda Nayake Thero arrived in Kandy yesterday afternoon to attend a blood donation campaign organised by Jathika Hela Urumaya (JHU) at George E. de Silva Park, Kandy.
Disclosing his observations of the eastern sector, he said that according to certain activities of the LTTE in the East it was obvious that Prabhakaran was planning to launch a severe attack.
The prelate noted that he visited a traditional homeland of the Sinhala known as Tampita. He learnt that the LTTE had launched a mortar attack on the villagers mainly farmers.
He said, the LTTE has begun to put up a fence demarcating a boundary of their territory. This clearly shows that the LTTE is preparing for an offensive in that part of the country.
The prelate said that he urged President Rajapakse that he should continue the offensive with the cooperation of the UNP or any other political groups until the country is rid of the terrorists.
The prelate warned against listening to the NGOs and the Norway facilitators because they were playing a double game.
He said the JHU had been throughout with President Rajapakse and would remain with him until the separatist terrorist movement was wiped out.
Ven Udawatte Nanda Thero JHU MP, and Kandy District organiser Thushara Swarnatilake also addressed the meeting that followed the blood donation for security forces personnel.

If the GOSL attacked Tamil areas to put them down so they could have cheap wins, their own karma will come back. Perhaps the spiritual investment that JHU has made has helped them identify this. The more the GOSL attacks the worse it is for the GOSL because the International Community is watching. Tamils are used to being hurt. GOSL carries the greater risk

Role of JHU is to improve and to maintain the morale of the armed forces. Role of JVP is to provide the strategic political leadership. Role of MR is to Coordinate all the efforts and the roles.
SLA should be yearnig for another LTTE attack, in east in perticular, so that they can consolidate futher.
GOSL is desparate for a an excuse to launch another ''defensive offensive'' to kill more LTTE cadres. |

It does seem so. The question is why is GOSL 'desperate'? Does it lack confidence in itself?

Its not due to lack of confidence, Its due to the Time. The Time has come to DESTROY the LTTE terrorists. The Time has come to liberate Tamils from the grip of LTTE terrorists. |
