Only if his CLEAR VISION, not to cut the island of Sri Lanka into a huge chunk & offer it to the wanni avathaar on a silver platter !!!!

Very Interesting. Tamils are blaming that D.S was colonizing Tamil Homeland with Singhalese with projects like Gal Oya, and now Ranil their only saviour from the Singhalese side is praising the same projects they hated. So is Ranil showing his double standards again ? About his vision sure he is near sighted.

In fairness to Ra nil, the bankrupt SL, is now enjoying peace.

The wailings of Ambulances, now a no go & a no show.

Jayaratne Malsalawa, financing Mahinda / JVP / JHU.

Ranil is still unable to appoint the district leader for Nuwara Eliya. What is happening at Beruwala? There is a dogfight for the organizer post. The vision is blurred.

Ecxept for Malship the rest of those who have contributed so far have got the wrong end of the stick. It is not Ranil who has no vision,it is individuals like fahmy,Nandalal,Magha,Gamma and peace4us who should see the optician for there comments have nothing to do with the subject matter under discussion.

    Yamunal: Thrilled, with your post.

Magha: Please read Yamunal`s comment, I write to the headlines

That is the joke of the day Yamunal. Ha ha ha! You made my day.

    Yamunal ,

The subject matter ?if we are to talk about the Mahaweli Project it will further show the distorted vision of Ranil and the UNP. All these times Tamils bashed DS for his colonization , he was a Singhalese Chauvinist, so now Ranil wants to talk about the Chauvinist keeping him on his side . May be his final attempt to get Singhalese votes stirring the Singhalese Nationalism in a subtle way?

Well every body talks about industrialization , cultivation ,thousands of Jobs a common BS the time of elections. The other side is talking about giving 20,000 jobs in the public sector. No revenues to the government , nobody pay income tax , the country lives on foreign loans. Not a single politician has the courage to say first of all we all have to pay income tax. Only 200,000 people in the country have been paying income Tax. Sri Lankans including the government sector had been paying income tax until UNP came to power in 1977. Ranil`s uncle abolished it , with it went the democracy of this country. He and the UNP blinded the whole nation, and allowed the thugs to massacre Tamils in the south for 3 damn days. There is your vision Yamunal , have a better broader vision to expand your horizon. Why didn`t he say it was the UNP ministers such as Cyril Matthew and Gamini Dissanayake set fire to Jaffna library which added fuel in to fire of the Ethnic issue and created the whole mess we are sitting on now spending billions of $ for defense where that money could have been spent wisely for the development of the country

    Ranil is hilarious.

His only vision is appeasing the LTTE. As long as he is appeasing the LTTE and mollycoddling its blatant disregard for democracy and diversity (how many Sinhalese/Muslims/Burgers/Malays/etc do you see in areas it controls?) he is as happy as a bumblebee.

Might I suggest that he try and come up with a different vision?

How about a vision that involves growing a spine?

Thanks god! Now RW got a clear vision (at this age?)

    Yep more than enough!

Now he can read the grade Nine upward history books and the `Mahawansaya`.

He proved it by giving a list of kings of Anuradhapura in his speech. Hmmm... he got his vision back?????
