Does anyone know what these `FIVE DEMANDS` the JHU has put forward to Mahinda is????

The JHU sucks a lot of as#. They shoulg kindly do us a favor and find another island where they can rule over the monkeys.

One demand will be not to squeeze the testicles of the monks whenever JHU disagree with SLFP.

This is exactly what the lame duck situation the prime minister is in. Frankly i feel more and more sorry for that man as each day pass by.

JHU most probably wants the Premier to abolish the current Tsunami deal and alter the CFA in some way they see fit. Both of which he cannot do, if he ever dreams (which he probably does during the day) of becoming President , because if he does he loses the crucial minority vote immediately, and it is no news that the Sri Lankan electoral system is designed in a way that whoever wishes to win the election must get significant support from the minority.

The JVP for their part will appeal to Rajapakse for a same kind of deal as the JHU for their support , but, Rajapakse being the person who submitted the PTOMS in Parliament they can`t possibly support him publicly- so to speak they will too field their own candidate, which is in turn will be devastating to Rajapakse since he loses some votes.

This may well be the end of the charming man from Hambanthota.

Nice to see that the JHU has finally realised their inability to face the elections on their own...but its better for the PM to get the support of minorities as well but going after TNA puppets is not an option...even the sinhalese would not prefer it!other muslim and tamil parties are certainly OK...

  • 8 Aug 2005 08:57:21 GMT

Will TNA have their own candidate, too?

Will JHU have their own candidate, if Mahinda disagree for conditions?

Will JVP listen to some of thier strong ex-co members and have their own candidate?

Who gets the support of CWC & Muslim Congress?

Friends keep your predictions until Election Commissioner opens his mouth and closing of the nominations.

You will not be surprised if general elections is called before Presisential election, if this CBK does have powers to do that under the present constitution after calling PM to show majority support in the parliament.

    No Surprise!

it is expected. if CBK didnt sellect Mahinda JHU will place him as their candidate as he was one of them(monk). and they might place ananda sangaee as the PM.
