A website will be launched by the family members of jailed former Minister S.B. Dissanayake to mark the completion of his 100 days in prison.
Tamara Dissanayake wife of S.B. Dissanayake in the invitation for the launching ceremony stated that her husband completes 100 days in prison on March 17 and that he was an inmate of the Welikada Prison as a political prisoner for a political statement made by him.
`The website will be launched at the TransAsia Hotel on March 17 to agitate for his release. All members of our family deeply appreciate the yeoman service by everyone during my husband`s imprisonment as a political prisoner,` Mrs. Dissanyake said.

Successful Hundred Days
The proposed website for SB could be filled with garbage collected during the course of a 20 year history of a man from the backyards of Hanguranketha to Colombo elite class through the plunder of Sports and Samurdhi funds. He must be thankful to the judiciary that he was finally given the due place in his life amongst his best pals; drug dealers, molesters, contract killers, bank robbers that his CV ideally matches.
Paradoxically, the creators of this monster, CBK and Ranil, are still running free with more obnoxious histories. If the SL judiciary puts its act together the country would need over 200 more cells at Welikade to fill the garbage from Diyawanna Oya. A few from judiciary too would fight for a place. |

These types of things would not be granted.
SB is in jail with a verdict given by the courts. Mrs. SB says this proposed web site is to mark up the completion of SB's 100th days in prison, while further saying ''to agitate his release''.
This is completely wrong and challenging to the judiciary system.
Can the gangsters, rapes, murders, narcotic dealers and so on & on who are enjoying their inprisonment now, launch such web sites??????

It's refreshing to read good natured posts for a change. Thanks guys!
We should redirect all our posts here to his website. What a pity he doesn't have the privilege of accessing it from his jail to read what others really think of him.

Hi all you contributors - kindly focus your attention to the CONTENTS appearing in the final para of the POP EYE.
Don't leave that poor SB in solitary confinement.
There are boggles, rats, p'bendi's & scores of others out there some of whom have missed out or have been overlooked for that visit there.
Lets rake up some thrash about them & get the awareness going to deter others.

By the way, is SB now in jail or still in the merchants' ward in the hospital????
So the inprisnment period has to be, minus the no of days in hospital

| They call it democracy in Asia, it's different from Europe. Mass murders, robbers are appreciated in our society in the name of so called democracy. Not only SB total UNP including SLFPers should be kept life in prison |

I dont say SB is good, but the way he was jailed showed that there is no judiciary system in sri lanka. The whole judiciary system can be manipulated for the need of one or two people.
There are hundreds of more corrupt people now enjoying the life while one person was jailed for the need of the president
I am crying, not for SB, but because Judiciary system in Sri lanka is dead and buried now. |
