The biggest ever international engineering conference ICIA 2005 to be held in Sri Lanka will be held at the BMICH from December 15 to 18 with the participation of prestigious technological leaders like USA, Japan, Canada and Germany and 23 nations taking part in it Engineer Sanjeeva Witharana member of the organizing committee said on Monday (12).
Professor Suran Gunathilake of Bodymetrics UK, an expatriate Sri Lankan scientist will chair the sessions while Professor Mo Jamashidi US State Department of Energy, Professor Clarence de Silva, University of British Colombia, Canada and Professor Toshio Fukuda, Nagoya University, Japan will be among the scientists that will take part in the sessions he said.
Among the international researchers will be a number of persons who will reveal the latest inventions and advances in the fields of electric, electronic and telecommunications engineering.
The sessions will also feature workshops on information and automation, disaster management, tele-presence and intelligence systems with experts in a number of disciplines and UN experts military representatives and corporate leaders from several countries. These events will be very useful to local inventors, scientists and technologists.
