Campus crackers for Heroes` Week?

Any non-Tamil cannot study in Jaffna University, let alone to light firecrackers WHEREAS any Tamil can study in any University in Sri Lanka, let alone to light firecrackers.

What a discrimination. Tamils are not allowed to light firecrackers at a place of thier choice. Non-Tamils are not allowed to study at a place of thier choice.

Poor tamils in N & E have no freedom for any thing!

But under GOSL all these brutes are enjoying the freedom!

Law of Natural Justice has exercised the punishments to all those who support LTTE the brutal killers by not extending such FREEDOM TO ALL LIVING IN N & E??????

Today I received an email from one of my friends, a .ppt presentation. Here is the content in brief:

A question was asked `Why is November 26th of 2005 is important to us? The obvious straight forward answer is that it is the birthday of Mr. Prabakaran. It is not a surprise that after more than 50 years of brain washing and continued colonization, we have forgotten, 26 of November this year marks 187 years after the murder of one of our national heroes `Kappetipola Rajapaksa Wickaramasekara Bandara` better known as `Weera Kappetipola Adikaram`. (Non of the media has paid attention to this according to the e-mail I received), instead, we were all celebrating in one way or the other a birthday of a ruthless terrorist leader.

I really am ashamed of my self.

This is not a news to be questioned. The tamils at Peradeniya have fired crackers on many occasions. They did so when Kobbekaduwa was murdered and also when Prez Premadasa was murdered. That`s not all either. That is how they enjoy the true freedom people have under a democratic regime, which is different to a terrorist regime.

Thanks for posting that, though I did not forget the anniversary of the death of Monarawila Keppetipola. Thanks to JR, I really doubt how many people in this forum really know what Monarawila Keppetipola did to the country and examplery courage he exhibited by directing the executioner where to hit next time with his sward while barely holding on to the alredy half-dissected head.

One other important anniversary we forgot to commorate amidst the recent Election heat is the 500 th Anniversary of the Arrival of Portuguese (18th November, 1505). Though we forgot that, I have heard that Mr. Wickramasinghe have had plans to celebrate it by inviting the Portuguese Prime Minister.
