The United Nations refugee agency reported on Tuesday that at least 30,000 people have been displaced in Lebanon since fighting between Israel and Hezbollah started on Monday. UNHCR spokesman Babar Baloch stated, “Conservative estimates indicate that around 30,000 individuals have found shelter in collective facilities.” He also mentioned that many others have had to sleep in their cars along the roads or were trapped in traffic jams. Additionally, the military has ordered evacuations for residents in over two dozen towns in southern Lebanon. Israel has been targeting Hezbollah positions in Lebanon and making incursions into the area.
